The International Pageant System is the One for Me
I started in
pageants at the early age of 36.
Seriously! They had always seemed
fun, but something only the truly beautiful (and young) could do. I never considered myself as anything special,
and I certainly wasn’t young and unmarried anymore. I thought my pageant days were over before
they even had started.
And then…the
North Dakota International State Director showed me just how wrong I was and
just how right the International System was.
The Mrs. International System
has been developed to celebrate today’s married women, their accomplishments,
and commitment to family and marriage. It showcases the family, encourages
work with charitable organizations, and promotes marriage. The Mrs.
International Pageant System is for married women ages 21 to 56, married at
least 6 months. Each contestant competes in Interview, which is valued at 50%
of her overall score, Evening Gown, valued at 25% and Fitness Wear valued at
25%. Each contestant has the opportunity to select a platform of her choice
that she spends the year promoting. Husbands are a direct part of the show,
escorting their wives in the Evening Gown competition, and it is the husband
who places the crown on his winning wife’s head. My favorite part is that while the pageant
still has a beauty component. I am
judged on my brain and my platform. I am
truly allowed the opportunity to share my passions with others.
So there you have it... the International System is the one for me. I
am a married women and I want to make a difference. I want my life to matter. The International crown has given me and
opportunity to use my voice and tell my story in so many places I would have
never had access to on my own. I’d love to show you how it is the one for
you. Maybe you are the ONE I will pass
the crown on to this December. Together,
let’s go on a grand adventure.
Blessings
Janelle
